Stop Child Abuse (SCA), we recognize that vulnerability does not stop at the borders of a refugee camp. Our host community is also home to children who are suffering deeply children who have lost their parents and are now struggling to survive on the streets, often without a safety net of any kind.
The Reality of the Host Community Struggle As seen in the attached image, these children are not just statistics; they are members of our community who are currently in a state of acute crisis. Many of them face:
- Deep Social Isolation: Lacking parental guidance, they are at higher risk of exploitation and neglect.
- Survival Struggles: Without consistent access to food, shelter, or healthcare, their daily reality is one of extreme hardship.
- Educational Barriers: The lack of a stable home environment makes it nearly impossible for these children to remain in school, further trapping them in a cycle of poverty.
Our Commitment to Inclusion We believe that our mission to protect children must be holistic. We are expanding our focus to ensure that children from the local host community, who are orphaned and vulnerable, receive the same care, advocacy, and protection that we provide within the refugee camps.
How Your Support Makes a Difference We are calling on our supporters to help us bridge this gap. Your contributions to this program will directly fund:
- Community-Based Protection: Establishing safe foster and care networks within the host community.
- Emergency Nutritional & Health Support: Providing the basic necessities these children are currently going without.
- Reintegration into Education: Covering school costs and providing the mentorship needed to help these children find a path toward a stable future.
We believe that every child in our region, regardless of their background, deserves to grow up in a safe and supportive environment. By supporting this program, you are helping us ensure that no child in our host community is left to suffer alone.
