In more than 190 countries and territories, children are reached with the essential education, healthcare, and protection they need to grow up happy and healthy. However, a critical truth remains: simply improving public services does not automatically guarantee a child’s well-being.

Infrastructure and supply chains are vital, but they are only effective if they are used. For many families, the path to benefiting from a programme meant to help their children is blocked by complex, often invisible hurdles. Sometimes, the value of a service isn’t immediately evident. Other times, a programme may neglect to address a root cultural challenge or a logistical barrier that makes access impossible.

At the heart of our mission is the recognition that changing knowledge is not enough to change behaviour. Providing information does not always lead to action.

To create lasting impact, we must partner directly with communities. This means listening first understanding their unique needs, identifying their existing strengths, and working together to lower the barriers to positive change.
