The Convention on the Rights of the Child: For Every Child, Every Right

Upholding the most widely ratified human rights treaty in history. We demand that every child, regardless of displacement or borders, enjoys their full, fundamental rights.

In 1989, world leaders made a historic, unbreakable promise to the world’s children by adopting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). As an international agreement on childhood, it has become the most widely ratified human rights treaty in history and has transformed millions of lives.

Yet, for children living in conflict zones and displacement camps, this global promise remains unfulfilled. The chaos of war, forced migration, and systemic poverty means that far too many childhoods are brutally cut short.

At Stop Child Abuse (SCA), the CRC is our absolute mandate. A child’s rights do not vanish when they cross a border or enter a refugee camp. It is up to our generation to demand that governments, businesses, and communities fulfill their commitments.

We champion the universal rights of the child, with a fierce focus on modern crises:

  • Rights in the Digital Environment (General Comment No. 25): The digital divide is a human rights issue. We advocate for and implement programs that ensure displaced children have safe, equitable access to the digital world. Through our tech hubs, we ensure they can learn, connect, and thrive online without the threat of digital exploitation.
  • Climate Change and the Environment (General Comment No. 26): Children bear the brunt of climate-induced disasters, which drive food insecurity and displacement. We integrate climate resilience into our agricultural and clean water programs, fighting for every child's fundamental right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment.
  • The Right to a Full Childhood: Beyond survival, we fiercely defend a child's right to play, learn, express their opinions, and be completely shielded from violence, exploitation, and abuse.

The time for promises has passed. The time for action is now. Every child must have every right.
