We are thrilled to share that Stop Child Abuse (SCA) actively participated as a key representative at the high-level KKCF / GBV / CP Multi-Stakeholder Forum Event!
Building directly on what we mapped out during our recent intensive policy landscape reviews, this follow-up forum focused on a critical objective: Strengthening continuity and action alignment for 2026 Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Child Protection (CP) frameworks across the Kakuma and Kalobeyei refugee-hosting areas.
Transforming Insights into Action
Our participation focused heavily on bridging the gaps between high-level policy design and the everyday realities faced by children and vulnerable groups in the camps. To achieve this, we focused on three strategic pillars:
- Addressing Policy Gaps: Actively advocating to fix the systemic inclusion gaps and curriculum delivery challenges previously identified in national education and protection frameworks.
- Aligning Multi-Stakeholder Efforts: Ensuring that private sector initiatives via the Kakuma Kalobeyei Challenge Fund (KKCF), humanitarian actors, and community leaders work in perfect harmony to protect children.
- Sustaining Referrals & Protection Pathways: Driving forward unified, actionable strategies that ensure child protection and GBV prevention remain adaptive, practical, and localized.
Building an Unbreakable Safety Net
True protection happens when we stop working in silos. By aligning our local children's clubs and community response structures with national legal frameworks, we create an unbreakable safety net for every child in Kakuma and Kalobeyei.
A massive thank you to all co-facilitators, state actors, and partners for keeping the momentum alive. Together, we are turning policy into robust, continuous protection!
